GLYCERINE

Newcastle's Rising Sound

Raw energy. Authentic stories. Music that moves you.

Who We Are

Glycerine is a young rock band from Newcastle, Australia, made up of school friends who share a love of loud guitars, great songs, and playing live. When we're not at school, you'll usually find us rehearsing, writing new music, or turning our amps up a little too loud.

Inspired by the raw energy and powerful songwriting of 90s grunge and Australian rock, bands like Pearl Jam, Silverchair, Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, and Grinspoon have helped shape our sound. We love the heavy riffs, honest lyrics, and unforgettable melodies that made that era so special.

Our music combines grunge-inspired guitars, driving rhythms, and plenty of energy. We work hard in rehearsal, play hard on stage, and always aim to give everything we've got when we perform.

We're still young, but we're passionate about making music and growing as a band. Most of all, we're a group of mates doing what we love and having a great time along the way. That's Glycerine.

The Sound

Our music is a collision of grunge's raw emotion with modern precision. Think chugging rhythm guitars that cut through the mud, explosive drum fills that crash like thunder, and vocals that growl and sing in equal measure.

We don't do gimmicks — we do feeling

The Band

Meet The Family

Five Newcastle teens who found their voice together. Together we roar as one unit, but each of us brings something unique to the chaos. We're the kind of band that starts as a joke between friends and ends up changing lives — yours, ours, and everyone caught in the mosh pit.

Noah

Noah

Vocals & Bass

Noah's voice has that distinctive 90s grunge texture that cuts through the mix with raw emotion. His vocals are gritty and powerful, bringing an authentic edge that defines the best of the grunge era. On bass, he locks in with Lewis to create a foundation that's both solid and fluid. Noah writes most of our anthemic choruses and brings that classic rock frontman energy without losing our young, hungry edge. He's the voice (and the dance moves) that get you through the chorus and stay with you long after the song ends.

Izzy

Izzy

Vocals & Bass

Izzy is the looksmaxxing queen, bringing a unique and powerful vocal style to the band. Her voice has that distinctive 90s grunge quality with a beautiful, emotive range that complements the raw energy of our sound. While she shares the lead vocals role with Noah, her approach is more melodic and nuanced, creating beautiful harmonies that elevate our music. When Noah isn't fronting, Izzy takes the mic and her quirky personality shines through. Izzy truly brings the fun to Glycerine. On bass, she's Noah's mirror image: solid rhythm, melodic fills, and always right in the pocket.

Jacob

Jacob

Guitar

Jacob is the architect of our sound. His rhythm guitar is thick, chugging, and drenched in just the right amount of gain. When it's his time to solo, he doesn't go for the technical shred — he goes for the feeling, those melodic, soaring lines that cut through the mix like a blade. He's the one who finds the perfect middle ground between the crunchy, distorted power of the 90s and modern production clarity.

Dom

Dom

Guitar

Dom is our head-banging aura farming rocker. He balances the equation where Jacob builds the structure. He brings the spark — those fiery, unpredictable solos that catch you off guard. His rhythm playing is tight but never rigid, leaving space for our vocals to breathe. Dom is the one who adds that final layer of chaos and beauty that makes Glycerine impossible to ignore.

Lewis

Lewis

Drums

Lewis is the heartbeat. He doesn't just keep time — he drives us. His fills are explosive but always purposeful, crashing down like a freight train at the perfect moment. He's got that explosive power of the 90s drum gods but with a modern touch that makes every song feel like it's exploding into your chest. When Lewis takes over, everything around him becomes secondary. Somebody get this man a custard tart!

Rock isn't about perfection. It's about finding your voice and never being afraid to scream it from the rooftops.
